Shot List

Intro:

In the intro of the song, first 16 beats, there will be cinematic shots of each location. These are essentially establishing shots so to show the audience where the video is set.

Chorus:

In the first chorus we are going to see the character in the science lab using the equipment accompanied with a couple more cinematic shots that are timed to the beat. There will be takes where the actor is lip syncing the song and takes where they are not and I use whichever one came out better as it's not imperative that they are lip syncing.

Verse 1:

This verse will be compiled of speed ramped footage of the character walking around the forest and acting somewhat dazed. Also using cinematic footage.

Pre Chorus:

In this small section of the song there will be a short shot of the character taking the pills out of his pocket and holding them in his hands. This is a slight foreshadowing of him taking the 'medication' the next time we see a scene in the forest.

Chorus:

There will be more scenes of the character working in the lab, this time things will be a little bit more hectic and they will have lost composure a bit.

Verse 2:

We will then see the character taking the pills and the clip speed will go up. The camera angle will be slightly slanted and shaky. The camera will follow the character around in a disorderly fashion, making kind of hectic movements around the subject in question.

Pre Chorus:

The situation calms down at this point and the erratic movements slow down. This will be accompanied with cinematic shots too. Character feels defeated. Heartbeat visual effect added.

Chorus:

Character acting like everything is calm. Back to the drawing board in the science lab.

Bridge:

Switches between forest and lab footage.

Chorus:

Character begins to realise his mistakes in not getting help. Begins dismantling the science equipment. Begins leaving the forest. Final shot is of the guy turning off the light to the lab and the screen goes black.

Production Research - Props

In my music video I want to use coloured water in test tubes to show that the character is making things in the lab, for this I could either use food dye or try and find other ways to colour the water.
